Fatigue Management
Driver fatigue is a leading cause of serious accidents. Recognizing and managing fatigue is critical to your safety and the safety of others.
- Know the Warning Signs: Yawning, heavy eyelids, drifting between lanes, difficulty focusing
- Follow HOS Regulations: Hours of Service rules exist to protect you - follow them
- Get Quality Rest: 7-8 hours of sleep before driving is essential
- Take Breaks: Stop every 2-3 hours to stretch and refresh

Being awake for 18+ hours impairs you as much as having a 0.05% blood alcohol level. Never push through fatigue.
